What is Festival Tresmalhadas?

Tresmalhadas is a festival dedicated to textile arts, with a focus on knitting, crochet, spinning and other traditional or contemporary textile techniques.
It brings together workshops, talks, a creative market and many activities in an atmosphere of sharing and community.

The Festival was born from the wish to create a high-quality event dedicated to textile arts, with curation, closeness and respect for the creative community.

An independent project, created by people who live these practices from within.

Who organises it

Festival Tresmalhadas is organised by a cultural association connected to Tricotadeiras de Oeiras, an informal group that has been active for more than 20 years, promoting regular meetings, knowledge sharing and cultural activity in the municipality of Oeiras.

This event is a natural evolution of that path: its founders wanted to broaden the scale and impact of the work developed over these two decades.
